This book is about Stephanie and Skulduggery Pleasant. Skulduggery Pleasant is a skullman. Stephanie's uncle Gordon died and he left some dangerous tasks to do to Stephanie. Gordon belonged to another strange world and he was a detective who solve mysteries. In book one, they both work together to fight against Serpine, the bad guy. So finally they win.
